Fools Day vs Labour Day

April 1 is known as FOOLS DAY and May 1 as LABOUR DAY - Nobody can correctly say who has coined these connotations. It seems to be a connotation by a mind with dormant capitalist mentality of encouraging middle class to serve, ultimately, the cause of capitalists, that of exploiting the very poor unemployed, non-vociferous multitude at the bottom. This middle class labor force itself ultimately, unconsciously fights the cause of rich capitalists in their incessant demand for still better wages. These terms are really making not only APRIL FIRST but Firsts of all months as FOOLS days for the majority of downtrodden population in the world.

Whatever they profess and express outwardly, the so called developed nations really want struggles and fights among nations so that their (developed nations’) war/defense industries will not languish due to lack of orders. They do not want their industrial labor, from lowest to highest CEOs, may not be retrenched. Who wants hara-kiri? This is the characteristic of democratic capitalism. Developing nations, unless they realize this fact soon and act concertedly, are doomed to failures in their nation-building and developing activities. In spite of their intentions, their budget allocations would be mainly defense oriented, feeding ultimately the major DEFENSE INDUSTRIES of Developed nations only.

Even if undeveloped nations want compromises, the Developed nations will use all possible means to deepen crises and do not help them to come to understanding. Is there no way to come out of these compelling circumstances?

Developing village industries based on forest produced raw materials seems to be the only answer to the machination of INDUSTRIAL countries. Can we take up this Gandhian type of economics? We will be forced to do it if we want corruption-free society.
