Fools Day vs Labour Day

April 1 is known as FOOLS DAY and May 1 as LABOUR DAY - Nobody can correctly say who has coined these connotations. It seems to be a connotation by a mind with dormant capitalist mentality of encouraging middle class to serve, ultimately, the cause of capitalists, that of exploiting the very poor unemployed, non-vociferous multitude at the bottom. This middle class labor force itself ultimately, unconsciously fights the cause of rich capitalists in their incessant demand for still better wages. These terms are really making not only APRIL FIRST but Firsts of all months as FOOLS days for the majority of downtrodden population in the world.

Whatever they profess and express outwardly, the so called developed nations really want struggles and fights among nations so that their (developed nations’) war/defense industries will not languish due to lack of orders. They do not want their industrial labor, from lowest to highest CEOs, may not be retrenched. Who wants hara-kiri? This is the characteristic of democratic capitalism. Developing nations, unless they realize this fact soon and act concertedly, are doomed to failures in their nation-building and developing activities. In spite of their intentions, their budget allocations would be mainly defense oriented, feeding ultimately the major DEFENSE INDUSTRIES of Developed nations only.

Even if undeveloped nations want compromises, the Developed nations will use all possible means to deepen crises and do not help them to come to understanding. Is there no way to come out of these compelling circumstances?

Developing village industries based on forest produced raw materials seems to be the only answer to the machination of INDUSTRIAL countries. Can we take up this Gandhian type of economics? We will be forced to do it if we want corruption-free society.

Lowering Prices and Analysis

The entire middle class and upper class people who are educated and vociferous are expressing their anxiety regarding high prices of consumables and vegetables prevailing today. They want that they should come down. But none of them make an honest attempt to analyze the causes and take preventive measures.

When there is increase in the wages or D.A of one industry all the other industrial units put up their demand and achieve higher wages, consequently the prices of industrial products rise. We nowhere come across an industrial labor demanding LESS WAGES. When I say industrial worker, I mean khalasi to CEO/CMD of that industry. Insurance companies, Banks, Power supply units and last but not least the GOVERNMENT Service personnel demand and achieve higher wages and incomes. This tendency itself is the cause of HIGHER Prices for vegetables and other consumable goods.

There is no use of blaming any other agency than them. It has become a favorite subject of discussion that LABOUR is not adequately rewarded. They forget that there is no inherent cost for natural products which are all provided by GOD free of cost at the outset. According to the labor hours put in each of the metals extraction from earth, their costs are comparatively fixed by man himself.

Wages of labor should be just based on daily/weekly/monthly basis, equally for all. When we introduced disparities in wages at the beginning we ourselves unconsciously paved the way for all sorts of troubles in the economy of to-day. Except a complete revolution, nothing else will be able to correct the economic evils the world is facing. Already corrective measures have started in the developed countries not willfully but by natural forces of demand and supply.

It may take a decade or two for the developed countries to stabilize their prices. In this period, if we Indians willfully reduce our wages we may be in a position to corner the major portion of demand in the world with our vast idle human resources. Let us take advantage of the world situation and act.

Immediate Action by United Nations

United Nations Action: A complete revolution in our mindset is required, not in Indians only, but in the mindset of all people in the world we live in.

All of us in theory agree for universal  “Minimum food, clothing requirement for an individual personality, housing facility with potable water supply, cooking facility, power supply for lighting, entertainment, good roads at least for cycle riding, education and health.”

If we are unable to ensure these basic facilities to the entire humanity, it is because some 10 to 15% within our own ranks do not really want this to happen, as it would affect their present day aggrandized living standards with cars, helicopters, ships, costly luxurious foods, entertainment, cement concrete runways, deep water harbors etc.

The moral preaching by the United Nations Assembly in these minimum basic human needs has no value if it is not implemented soon. What is therefore coming in the way is they are powerless and toothless. It needs a unitary police force to force implement these basic needs to all in the world within a time frame of five/ten years’ time.  Basic mindset that some people are born with SILVERSPOON in the mouth should change. Nobody should be allowed to enjoy more than the other average person does enjoy.

This moral needs to be implemented rigorously. Until the basic human needs are ensured during the next five or ten years period, the extra earnings (enjoyments) by these few percent people should be confiscated and kept with the UN force in custody. They too should be made/forced to work like ordinary laborers’ on the works. If they are sick then only they should be hospitalized on genuine reasons.

A dhobi, hairdresser, Smith, Carpenter, grocer are within half a kilometer from their homes in a village. When requested, they offer their services at the villagers’ home itself. Can you provide banking, postal, telephone, at their doorstep? Present ‘no’ is the answer. Because, they think of course wrongly that they are born with silver spoon in their mouth. They call it below their dignity. They cannot stoop to the level of riff-raff. It is exactly this type of mindset that is necessarily to be changed, if not voluntarily by force itself. Times are changing; it would not take much time anymore, for fast and immediate changes.

Would we give this power to the United Nations immediately for implementation? The entire navy, army and air force of all nations under UN control. Can we change our mindset in this direction? Voluntarily, willingly or otherwise a natural revolution is in the offing overtaking us.

Early History of Money

Initially, there was no value for any animate or inanimate thing in the world we live in. Human beings due to their superiority among the animal world by being able to communicate with each other develop words to connote some works and ideas.

They began exploration and exploitation of nature to yield better results than the then existing condition. Thus, agriculture, forestry, housing, water sources were developed. When they began thinking about comparative labor force employed on each of different works for different operations, they found that some are efficient in certain works and some others in different work.

In course of time number of necessities increased, labor force began comparison and started giving credit /value to each operation. Time later on became an important factor for giving value to a product or operation. Thus, began value assigning in course of time led to creation of MONEY for acting as medium of exchange between two or more products. Every country today has its own currency or money.
My main aim in giving this earlier history of money is that the values we give to products are specially comparative values of four things can be exact four times or depending upon their new technology twice.

  2 3 4 5       Rs
8 12   16 20 Rs
8 15 12 15 Rs
In this global world economy, the country with minimum labor costs would ultimately capture the maximum wealth. India with vast unemployed human resources and with willingness to work on very low wages would in course of time attract the maximum demand.

The only condition is that unions should desist from pilling demands for higher wages at least for two decades by which period; we will be in a position to exorbitantly increase them. We can ascend from lower to high regime. See the case of USA, other European developed nations the labor force there accustomed to high wage regime would prefer to remain unemployed rather than stooping to lower wage rates.
It is on account of this tendency the entrepreneurs in these developed countries are opting to shift their bases to low wage regime nations If we do not take advantage of this state of affairs, somebody else like China, Philippines or others would overtake us.
This so called HALF NAKED FAKIR MAHATMA GANDHI taught us SIMPLE LIVING and HIGH THINKING. He is universally recognized by throughout the world even now sixty years after his assassination as he stood for social justice all along, encouraging village living with charkas which require forest wood only.
Supposing Prime Minister of India is now paid Rs. 20/25 Lakhs per annum. Nobody else in the country to exceed that under any circumstances .The wages or incomes of people should be limited to just 24 Lakhs and anything extra with them forced to contribute to the Trust which try to provide guaranteed minimum living wage to the vast unemployed humanity in the country, or wealthy billionaires can be given charge of development of certain number of villages, in modern housing, roads, protected water supply, solar and wind mill energy plants, education and health, not theoretically but in practice we should show that we are capable of doing this, corruption comes out of huge budgets, pompous living.

Our aim should be low wages no immediate accumulation of wealth except for meeting just social needs of masses. When there is just simple living corruption activity doesn’t take place automatically there will be steady progress to higher level no fear of levels falling down.
Supposing the wage of an NREGS worker is fixed at Rs. 150/-per day, means, Rs.4500/-p.m or 5400/- per annum. The consolidated wages/ remuneration of all workers or officials should be prorata reduced and the minimum starting rate may be fixed at Rs. 60000/- per annum. The maximum can be 24 Lakhs, one or two Lakhs less than Prime Minister's.

The Lakhs of people drawing  or receiving remuneration of above this cap i.e., 24 Lakhs should be compulsorily made to be kept in Govt. Trust for utilization on priority housing., clothing, water power supply roads above all on education and health aiming at almost hundred per cent employment. Thus the sin of exploitation is washed out.

These equitable consolidated wages lead to cheap food clothing housing education and health for the poorest of poor in course of next few years meeting domestic wide market. Then we can look to exports and foreign exchange.

With these low rates we can successfully attract major demand which paves the way for slow and study increases (no fear of decrease) Standards of living of the nations. Then only progress will take place with no fear of falling down. This is mainly based on GANDHI’S teachings and preaching’s which are respected universally.
Let us start to put it in practice w.e.f.at least 1-1-2012!

Employment with Low Wage Rates?

The countries like United States of America and Europe had enormous development activities during the last two centuries due to political subjugation.

Now, natural revolution is taking place. We should take advantage and try to employ huge human resources at low wage rates. Further, they can compete well in the global market. It also ensures low prices for consumable items within the country.

Let us understand that this policy achieve long term sustainability rather than the limited employment and high wages rate regime.

What is your view in this regard?

30th January 2010 - VOW by Takumalla Krishna Murthy

Let us on this day, THE DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF GANDHIJI resolve and vow that we are just trustees only  of the properties in our possession today.

The Almighty has created us all as equals without superiority or inferiority on the bases of Color, Creed, Race, Religion and Caste etc excepting gender differentiation in all other respects. We the citizens of the world are all equals having equal rights of enjoyment of good things of life like food, clothing, housing, education, health and entertainment.

Let the organized labor forces like Govt. Servicemen, Bankers, Railways, Postal and Industrial workers understand that their wages are far above the average wage. They are already in EXPLOITING SIDE needing REDUCTION and not INCREMENT so that the EXPLOITED SECTIONS can be met their JUST (UNVOICED) DEMANDS.

An appeal to all people on this planet earth of ours.
